What has everybody tried out there and what seems to be the most stable 680i motherboard? I am looking to make a purchase soon and don't want to spend 200-300 on an unstable board.

The ASUS Comando looks like it will be worth every penny. The eVGA mobos are excellent though.

I'm pretty pleased with my 680i, except it can't seem to run at 400 fsb or higher, which is pretty poor for an overclocking board. But I'm hoping that's just due to the northbridge overheating which isn't difficult to alleviate.

I have not had any problems with my ASUS board. Ive been able to get it up to 455fsb 100% stable. it runs $250 on da' egg.

I saw a review of an ASUS board yesterday where they had the FSB at 533... I would think that you would need serious cooling for that. They CPU-Z verified it though. I will see if I can dig it up.

What temps are you getting on your proccessor, NB and SB to keep it stable?

Right now i have it running at 430fsb.
CPU: 48C under 100 load
NB: 39C under load
SB: Not a clue, but it feels cool.

I have a small fan mounted on top of the NB heatsink. Also im using thermatake water loop with 2x120 RAD.

Thats pretty cool (temp). That is probably the main reason for the stability. I was not going to water cooling on my next build but with those convincing numbers I just might.

Iv got a P5N32-E SLI and it works 100%, the only problem with the board and im sure many can confirm if u actually own one is that the NB runs very very hot, so just make sure u have enough airflow in the case..... good luck

i think evga is good...

I love posts like this..... "i think its good".
shew! now that we know that you "think" evga is good, that solves the problem!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! BURN!!! But eVGA does actually make an excellent mobo.
