Hey everyone! I am looking for a new laptop that is better than my previous one.

^ This laptop I got November 1st 2012 for 300$, lasted me a year until the screen broke and leaked the red liquid lines , and has went down hill from then.
Now I am looking for something at least 1000$-1200$ because of budget reasons. But I would love to be able to play games, and use Sony Vegas because I edit and mix rock music that I make via guitar, drums, vocals ect. So it would be cool to bring this laptop to a recording space instead of bringing my desktop and doing that. My old laptop worked alright with that but would slow down with my Tascam 1-800 interface.
The screen can be any size, its not to be of a concern however, is there anyway to reduce glare if I'm outside? And should be good quality unlike the previous laptop.
Storage should be fine or decent, I have an external 1TB hard drive that I use for my desktop and for this if need be.
For uses: I work as a security guard for long hours so I would be using it in a booth which is heated decently, and can get hot at times but shouldn't be a problem. At home, and at school if need be. (Would be cool if there is any decent cheap carrying bag/case for this!)
If theres anything that I missed just let me
know! Thanks in advance!
