Here is a list of most of my current PC parts:

I have upgraded my RAM to a total of 16 gigs.
I'm currently using a dual monitor setup with my main monitor being the Asus vg248qe 144hz and the other is just an old LG 60hz monitor.
I just got a Gigabyte Geforce GTX 970 graphics card for Christmas and figured now would be a good time to consider upgrading other parts of my gaming rig. I want to upgrade my processor from the i5 2500 Sandy Bridge to something like the Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor. I know this means I'll need to upgrade my motherboard too and was wondering if there were any good suggestions for motherboards.
I also was considering just getting the Intel Core i7-3770K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor since it wouldn't require upgrading my motherboard but I wanted to see what the pros and cons would be to getting this instead of the Intel Core i7-4790K 4.0GHz Quad-Core Processor.
