[SOLVED] Looking for the cheapest yet effective CPU setup for streaming PS4

Hi everyone!

I recently started streaming to Twitch from my PS4, using the limited PS4 camera.

I know that I need some sort of PC setup to broaden my horizons (better camera, mic and overlays)

Right now my budget is almost non-existent and I don’t want to put out an arm and a leg when there’s no guarantee of success in this venture yet.

So here’s my question:
What’s the cheapest setup I can invest in for a PC or laptop that will be strictly used for streaming the PS4 gaming? I’ve heard the Remote Play app is a good start to get the gaming on the computer to be streamed. Not sure if that would eliminate the need for a capture card. Hell, I’m new to all of this but I’m totally open to building a PC if that happens to be the “cheapest” route. If a laptop can be pulled off, I may be partial to that.

capture card is recommended and the dedicated streaming pc does not need to be powerful. Do you have an old laptop laying around? You may use that too with a usb capture card.

A decent quality capture card, paired with a cheap used system/laptop is probably the best route to go here.
