Looking for the latest LGA 1366 processor release

I know the LGA 1366 Processor sockets have been succeeded by LGA 2011 but ive been looking for a new processor as my 920 2.67GHZ is severely outdated and needs a replacement, Im looking for the latest I7 core processor that will work with a LGA1366 Board.

Make sure your BIOS is up to date. On another note you didn't mention the make and model of your board...? You should cross reference the above suggestions with your supported CPU's list.

Find the list of supported processors on your motherboard manufacturer's webpage. That is the best list. If you have an HP board or other non-standard BIOS you may be limited.

The i7-990X (or i7-995X if you can find one) is the most powerful CPU, but you didn't provide info about your motherboard. Even if it supports it, they are too expensive on eBay; an i7-970 or an i7-980 would be a better buy. There are equivalent Xeon processors, but again the motherboard has to support them.

Everythings good, I found the highest processor that it will take and that will fit and its a 990X 6 core.
If you want the make of my board, I unfortunately can't give any leads other than that its a Pegatron IPMTB-TK, My Bios are updated and I had cleaned out the fan which was matted, the CPU will only take I7 first Gen cores.
I wonder if WinCycle has Processors.

The motherboard is manufactured by Pegatron for HP; therefore it has an HP Bios.
