theres a big list of the ones that support windows 8 the problem isnt the cards its normally the drivers any card will run windows 8 its if theres drivers the win 7 drivers usually work because of the similar scripts used in windows 8 so no problem just check out the maufacturers to see whoes supporting windows 8 drivers after that your home free these days since windows 8 has been out a while then most if not all maufacturers will be supporting windows 8 as by way of drivers so i shouldnt worry about it buy a card and it will work ive recently upgraded my card to the r7 250 amd radeon of course and this came with drivers for vista xp and 7 and 8 and all the 64 bit drivers too so most cards are supporting most os these days so not a worry just buy what you want and it will work fine on windows 8 i suggest however a high spec card for the extra performance for your games as windows 8 can be a real resource hogger if set up wrong happy computing

Many older cards are not ready for windows 8/UEFI ready and require a GPU BIOS update. Even some 6 series cards from nvidia are only windows 7. Make sure you check from the manufacture.

I would just go with win7.
