I want to get the CPU to PSU cable because the one that came with my Asus Thor 1000 p2 isnt as long as i like were its pulled a little too snug for my liking. Im using the helios. My question is which one should i get from cable mod the double 8pin or 2 single 8 i have a Z790-E MB

4+4-pin 12V EPS is what you need.
8-pin is PCI-E, with different pinout. That is for the GPU.

And i'd get 2x 4+4-pin 12V EPS cables. While one suffices, the 2nd cable provides more voltage stability to your CPU. 2nd cable is especially needed when you use Core i7/i9 and/or are OC'ing the CPU.

Is this your motherboard;
?

Can you pass on a picture to show how snug the connector is on your motherboard? In fact, if the connector isn't being subjective to too much force and bending you're not in trouble.

You mean if you should hook up both 8pin EPS connectors on the motherboard?

The connector labelled ATX_12V_1 is the main connector between the 2x EPS connectors which is the one you should hook up regardless. The secondary connector is if you're pursuing overclocking. IMHO, you should hook up both.\

cablemod make an 8pin EPS;

Would you be interested in getting a custom cable length that matches your color scheme? You could look into people who use MDPC-X.

I did want to get white to make the cable mod 16 pin for my GPU that one is mod mesh how do you feel about the complete set of cable mod extensions ?

how do you feel about the complete set of cable mod extensions ?
Extensions increase ripple. And increased ripple increases system instability, especially when OC'ing.

So, better to buy full CableMod set that replaces all your PSU's power cables (like i've done with all 3x of my builds, specs and pics in my sig), rather than buying extensions.

This is NOT CableMod product. Instead looks like some cheap knock-off. AsiaHorse brand, that i have never heard of. Can melt and kill your hardware. So, better buy reputable brand.

CableMod RT-series cables are compatible with your PSU,

Or use custom configurator to make your own length/color cable,

Here's the diff between ModMesh and ModFlex cables,
article: https://cablemod.com/?faqs=what-is-the-difference-between-modmesh-and-modflex

The CableMod cables i have (all 3x different color sets) are all ModFlex.
