Hi,
I have a AMD FX 6300 (3.5ghz) and M5 A97 R.2.0 motherboard with 8GB or ram and a gtx 750 ti ftw GPU. The cpu cooler I have got is a cooler master evo 212. I play games like dying light, H1Z1, FIFA, battlefield and other quite demanding games like these. I get decent FPS (40-55) on med settings and 25 - 30 on ultra with no AA. Will overclocking my CPU improve my fps so its worth overclocking or only a small amount.
Any feedback would be great !
Thank you

also... depending on how much you OC, that hyper 212 evo might not be enough for it, it's a good value aftermarket cooler for stock or mild OC, not enough for heavy OC... don't forget to run prime95 blend tests for 15 minutes to check on temps... and for 3 hours (or so they say) to ensure system stability, prime95 puts each core at 100% usage and monitor temps...

Although not sure what are the safe temps for that CPU

Yeah i think it would too, how much fps increase are we talking about and would it help other performance areas like general use or mainly just gaming?

Gaming and Applications that benefit from Multiple cores like Video Rendering/x264 and 3d stuff, you wont notice any difference while Browsing the web or doing normal stuff.

ahh, think i might start looking into tutorials on how to do it, Thanks !
