I have a budget of 600-800 dollars. I will need a keyboard and possibly a monitor to be part of the budget as well. I was just wondering what would be the better choice to buy a prebuilt, or build my own build. Also what would be some good choices.

The main uses for the desktop will be doing cad and gaming thanks!

AutoCAD doesn't utilize multiple cores well so you should probably go for the fastest i5 (because I usually don't see i3's suggested for gaming) that is in your budget and work from there. Unless you are working with very large files 8gb of ram should be enough as well.
