Hey lads so, I am looking to build a brand new GAMING PC, that will be future proof/for vr.

I plan to being using this PC for ultra/highest settings for gaming, I do play graphically demanding games.

originally, my budget was 1500 pounds, however I am unsure whether this budget will be enough.

Currently this was what i was going for: https://www.ebuyer.com/834823-pc-specialist-vanquish-hellfire-1080ti-gaming-pc-pcs-d1338330

and

https://www.ebuyer.com/722327-acer-predator-xb271hu-27-wqhd-ips-monitor-um-hx1ee-005

However, added together its like 2.6k overall, and i only have 3k in my bank, I am trying to save as much money as I possibly can without reducing pc specs,

I was hoping someone could help me out and give me better options/ whatever you think can help me out to reduce the overall cash i'd be spending.

Thank you!

Well, I don't see it getting much under $2,000 unless you drop to lower tier CPU/GPU.

Hey there!

Well, my first question is do YOU want to build a new PC or do you want a prebuilt like above? If you literally build it yourself you could cut back on the budget. With that said, Tom's have only recently done an article on the really good value you can get from prebuilt specialists. Specially on high end hardware, e.g your GTX1080ti, where buying now at inflated prices, but the prebuilts have better value as they have bought the parts in bulk.

Anyway......the system chosen is high end gaming. It's a beast. You're getting an OC'ed I7 8700x, 32gb of ddr4 2666mhz ram, a GTX1080ti, 512GB SSD. The only thing not mentioned is the mobo, which would be a factor for me. But no doubt it's a Z370 because the CPU is OC'ed.

All in all it's a really good gaming system. Future proof to an extent (although I hate that term). Keep in mind you have a 1440p 165hz monitor there (which is a really good one - I wouldn't change that at all for the build). Even with a GTX1080ti you won't hit those max FPS/refresh rates. Some games, yes, but not all.

On the value side of things, IMO that build is way overpriced. Because you could get the same parts for less, and build it yourself. OC the CPU yourself, and save yourself a few hundred quid. Ebuyer, will charge you for the build and the OC'ing, maybe to the tune of £200 plus the 30% margin on the parts.

If you have a store you can purchase from, or are happy to us partpicker, i'm sure we could come up with something the same for less.

If you are going with the above system, and as long as your happy with the premium paid (because after all, it does rule out having to build it, which can be hassle) then going with a prebuilt is a good idea. That system will not let you down, apart from being aware you would'nt hit the same max capable FPS (165) in all games.

The LL 140 is for the rads in the top.
Place the hybrid rad in the rear and replace the fan with that ML 140.
