Looking to buy a i3 4170 but not sure if it will fit in my current 1155 LGA socket

I'm not very familiar with cpu's. I've only opened my current cpu just once to replace the thermal compound. Its an old Intel G630 and im looking to upgrade to a i3 4170. But i have a question...
My current cpu has a 1155 lga socket while the i3 i want to get has a 1150 socket. What do i do?

No it is not compatible. You can either find a socket 1155 cpu or get a new motherboard as well as the cpu.

2XXX and 3XXX series cpus work in socket 1155, 4XXX work in socket 1150
