Hello,
I want to buy an external monitor for asus gl702 vm 1060 3gb.
Is it worth looking into 144 hz monitors with a current laptop? I am considering 23"or 24" 1080p monitor. Is my card will be capable of handling games on high settings with a decent fps on such displays? Am i going to benefit from 144hz refresh rate or should i go for 75hz ? Could you advice me how to choose a right monitor. Thank you.

Thanks ! But is it better 23" or 24 "? Is there going to be any difference in game performance? Could someone expand on the answer please? Unfortunately laptop is relatively new and i didnt plan to buy external monitor at first, so need to pick most suitable monitor for current card. And also dont want a monitor to be "overkill", where my card wont be able to utilise monitors resources. Thanks again !

No the monitor size won't effect performance.

you can only get 120+ fps at 1080 max setting in very few games like CSGO, Far cry3 etc.

this monitor is decent: Samsung LC24FG70FQ
