So, my current PC's CPU, mobo and RAM are outdated, and I'm not exactly swimming in money. So instead of building a whole new Ryzen PC, I plan on swapping the outdated parts of my PC for a slight upgrade, and then go one to use the motherboard in a later upgrade.

This is what I'm currently thinking of upgrading too, eventually being able to build:

(I'm aware link 2 is in dollars, the friend who recommended it is American and I'm British so)

While other feedback is appreciated, my only real concern is the motherboard, as my friend suggested it may not be the best choice.

Thanks in advance for all the help

I recommend a 2200g > 1200, better performance for a little more but the 2600 does have better but $60ish more. For the mobo on the second link is great and I have used it in a couple builds and works great, the only thing is that the bottom pcie bracket is cheap but you most likely won’t use it.
