Hello,

I have a Mediasonic H82-SU3S2 ProBox hard drive enclosure. One of the fans in it has recently become noisy and so I was hoping to replace the fan.

The fan size is 80x80x20mm. It is 12V and has a two pin plug.

The problem is that I'm having trouble finding a fan with the proper 2 pin plug for this enclosure. I don't know what the plug is called. Here's two pictures showing both sides of the plug on the fan:

I have been searching for a replacement online and all the 2 pin fans that I'm seeing seem to have a different plug on them or no plug at all. The XH2.54 plug is not the one.

I'm hoping to find a fan with the right plug.

Thanks!

The quickest thing will probably to take the fan you bought, cut the plug off and solder/heat shrink the existing plug. I have had to do that for custom fans.

NOTE that the fan on Amazon linked by ThatVietGuyabove is for 24 VDC, and yours needs 12 VDC. Just get a common computer 80 mm fan with THREE wires from it. Do as kanewolf suggests above. VERY likely the colour coding matches - red to red, black to black. Tape and tie up the end of the fan's yellow wire - do not connect it to anything.

Yes, the one I ordered and received was the 12V version instead of the 24V version of the GDSTIME fan. I plan to use shrink tube on it and the plug from the original fan so that I can connect it. But that is another good idea.

Thanks!
