Solution

i would rather not downgrade the ram...u can go with this nvidia card...

Price breakdown by merchant...
first things first...u shd always avoid prebuilds, as they tend to be over priced with cheap parts at times and a lot of marketing...
coming to ur build, this shd be a very gud build for...a tad over budget though, but worth it...

Thanks this sounds perfect I don't really know much about computers so I'm gonna listen to you but I forgot to mention I need a network card to connect to wifi because my router is in another room so if you could suggest to me one of those I would be very pleased also would this pic be able to run games like over watch at a solid fps or maybe gta 5
Thanks again

It is a bit cheaper than Hellfire13's build, and it includes a wireless adaptor that you can plug into the back of one of your USB 2.0 ports (not the blue ones).

Hey thanks for the message I'm not getting the pc till Christmas so I'll have some time to think btw do you guys know if these parts will come a bit cheaper due to Christmas sales when December comes around once again thanks for the help

the 8gb card that i have suggested is much more powerful than the 4gb card and worth the extra bucks...nevertheless a nice build overall...can be suggested for saving some bucks...

also if op can wait, the intel kabylake and amd zen range of processors are coming out in a couple of months...he can have better options there...

Dude, I don't want to sound like a know-it-all or sound sarcastic, but I am really interested. How is the 8GB more powerful than the 4GB, I thought they have the same GPU architecture, just with less memory. I am being serious right now, and not trying to be sarcastic or any of that.

I don't 100% agree with waiting, as the parts required for those newer processors will be more expensive, so I doubt he should wait. Unless he is getting more money while he waits, then yes, wait.

Yes, christmas specials are awesome when buying PC hardware. So be on the lookout.

the 8gb will be capable of more fps on demanding AAA titles dues to its extra vram...in multitasking like rendering/streaming/recording while gaming, the extra vram will significantly outperform the 4gb...also as games are becoming more demanding, 8gb will give more future proofing as the 4gb counterpart may not be sufficient couple of yrs down the line...in bemchmark performances, the 8gb is significantly beter than the 4gb...and whn u can get extra 4gb of vram at just a couple of bucks extra, why choose a lesser card???

also, when the new cpus launch, there wont be that much of price difference, but op will get much newer technology...for eg. how much price difference do u see between i5-4690k and i5-6600k???...infact the 4690k costs more than the 6600k inspite of being 2gen. older...

When I finally get the parts should I try build it myself or should I find like a computer shop because I have never built a computer before and I don't won't to fuck anything up

Also I was wandering if I needed a cpu cooler and that paste stuff

Also are there any parts you can think of to downgrade a little bit because this is getting a bit more expensive than I originally thought like maybe ram from 16 to 8 or maybe a cheaper gpu because i still want some money left over for the steam Christmas sale
Thanks :)

Hey do I really need 16 gbs of ram because most games i looked up said 8 recommended also i was wondering if there is a nvidia equivalent of the gpu that you guys suggested because lots of utube vids and stuff say that nvidia comes with some extra benefits like shadow play and other stuff

8gb is what ur game will consume...ur pc need more than that to keep its other programs and operating system running...also in heavy graphic scenarios, some games tend to exceed that 8gb recommended...

the nvidia equivalent is... https://au.pcpartpicker.com/product/7RKhP6/gigabyte-gef...

Solution
Also using a website connected to my school I can get free Windows 7,8,8.1 and 10 for free don't worry it's legal, but I was wondering how I would install it like would I download it on another computer put it on a usb then plug it in to the pc would I have to do something more techinal

Hey sorry for the ridiculous amounts of questions but I found this build on a utube vid and was wondering if it was any good for the price and if there r any small upgrades I can do this to make it mid range but good
Hers the part picker link :http://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/XFgqyc

And here's the actual utube vid :https://youtu.be/lyUC0sUMm5k

Sorry if I am asking a lot of questions I just really find all this stuff interesting and could c it becoming a big hobby in the future

seems like u have a lower budget...i3-4160 is 4th gen i3...i5-6500 is 6th gen(current) i5...also rx4xx series video cards are much older than wat has been suggested...
if budget is an issue then give a realistic budget, and we can provide u with a current gen config...

K thanks I'll just save a bit longer for your suggested build

then wait for intel 7th gen kabylake and amd zen processors...

How much more will they be ?
