Looking to get my first gaming pc

Hi
I was wondering if any one could give me some advice on my first gaming pc I'm gamer and have been all my life but usually always on console I thought now we be a good time to switch to pc but I need to some advice if I should by a prebulit rig or build my own I have a budget of $900 AU (Australian dollars) and I already have 2 monitors keyboard and mouse, I don't need anything ridiculous

seems like u have a lower budget...i3-4160 is 4th gen i3...i5-6500 is 6th gen(current) i5...also rx4xx series video cards are much older than wat has been suggested...
if budget is an issue then give a realistic budget, and we can provide u with a current gen config...

then wait for intel 7th gen kabylake and amd zen processors...

How much more will they be ?

It is a bit cheaper than Hellfire13's build, and it includes a wireless adaptor that you can plug into the back of one of your USB 2.0 ports (not the blue ones).

the 8gb card that i have suggested is much more powerful than the 4gb card and worth the extra bucks...nevertheless a nice build overall...can be suggested for saving some bucks...

also if op can wait, the intel kabylake and amd zen range of processors are coming out in a couple of months...he can have better options there...

Dude, I don't want to sound like a know-it-all or sound sarcastic, but I am really interested. How is the 8GB more powerful than the 4GB, I thought they have the same GPU architecture, just with less memory. I am being serious right now, and not trying to be sarcastic or any of that.

the 8gb will be capable of more fps on demanding AAA titles dues to its extra vram...in multitasking like rendering/streaming/recording while gaming, the extra vram will significantly outperform the 4gb...also as games are becoming more demanding, 8gb will give more future proofing as the 4gb counterpart may not be sufficient couple of yrs down the line...in bemchmark performances, the 8gb is significantly beter than the 4gb...and whn u can get extra 4gb of vram at just a couple of bucks extra, why choose a lesser card???


also, when the new cpus launch, there wont be that much of price difference, but op will get much newer technology...for eg. how much price difference do u see between i5-4690k and i5-6600k???...infact the 4690k costs more than the 6600k inspite of being 2gen. older...

What I meant was the parts for the new processors will be more expensive, such as the motherboard. I'm not sure, but that's what I'm expecting

For intel there wont be much difference if at all, because the socket architecture still remains LGA1151, which means same DDR4 compatibility in terms of motherboard and ram.
For AMD ofcourse since they are launching DDR4 compatible chips, everything will be newly priced.
