As the question says, I am looking to replace my AMD A10-6700 with some sort of Intel Processor, possibly an I5 for rendering and gaming. I have an ASUS M11BB. Would I have to replace the motherboard to be able to use my Intel I5?

Thank you,

PWD

Yes, you'll need to replace the motherboard, as they have different sockets. AMD CPUs have pins, whereas Intel ones don't; instead the Intel motherboard has pins.

What generation of i5 CPUs are you looking to upgrade to?

Both are quality motherboards, should work great with a 4460.
