Hi there, the fan for my ASUS NV56 laptop makes quite a bit of noise, so I'm thinking about buying another fan to replace it. Any ideas on the specific fan model I'd need, or would any fan of the same size/type suffice? If so, which?

Thanks in advance!

Here is the link to your model http://www.asusparts.eu/en/partfinder/Asus/Notebook/N%20Series/N56VZ

Click on the "Cooling" drop down menu and select the DC Fan. This is your replacement fan. I would suggest opening up your system and making sure the part numbers are the same on both old and new fan before purchasing.

If you are still unsure or want 100% clarification then email them, they usually get back to you same day. All they need is your model serial number.

Before you replace the fan though, have you had a look at it? It could just be clogged up with dust/crap and is just in need of a blast with some compressed air.

Thanks a ton! There was a typo in the original post, my bad. The exact model is ASUS N56VZ
