Hey guys, my HDD is starting to fail (its about 4 years old now) and I want to buy an SSD to replace it...the only problem is I cannot find my windows 7 disc and don't want to purchase another one (I still have the product key though) Is there a way to backup windows 7 to the SSD/A disc that I can later reinstall once i plug my SSD in?

Clone is the word you're looking for. Direct copy from old drive to new drive.
If....

1. How large is the new SSD?
2. How much total used space is on your current C drive or partition?
3. How much of that is Steam games/doc/music/funny cat videos?
4. How well does the current install work, not counting possible physical drrive issues?

Not 'free space'...."used space".
