Looking to upgrade Computer but can't figure out where to start?

I am wanting to upgrade my old computer over this next couple months, nothing too expensive but I can't figure out where to start? I was hoping somebody could help out
Parts:
MoBo- Gigabyte 970a- D3P
CPU- FX 6300
GPU- R9 200
16 GB Ram
500 Watt PSU

It is quite hard.
I think upgrade your processor and motherboard and ram.

If you are Intel Fan boy.

Processor.... Intel core i5 8400
