Question Looking to upgrade from Haswell

I was needing advice on whether to upgrade the CPU/Mobo/RAM/M.2 combination on my current build, or update my graphics card. Right now, I can only upgrade one or the other due to budget (700 dollars). The only thing holding me back from buying a really nice gfx card, is the fact that I have had my Haswell build since 2014. As it stands, the BIOS on my current mobo cannot support M.2. Tried to update, and do some workarounds, but it does not work on this particular motherboard. If you concur about upgrading the guts, do I wait for the new Ryzen cores to come into stock, or do I buy the last gen series at the reduced price? Any recommendations? Thank you.

Intel Haswell Core i7 4770
Asus Z87-A
GTX 970
850 EVO SSD
8GB G Skill RAM

Typically play games like WoW, Battlfield V, Dota 2, and some first Person games like DOOM or Prey. Looking for decent FPS over Max settings on graphics.

I have a BenQ 30" GL2760 1280x1024 at 60hz. Doesn't have to be ultra high or max settings, just want it to perform where i can get med-med high settings and not run into game lag due to hardware.

Bruh upgrade that monitor,it would open up more room for upgrading, since you wont notice a difference between 60fps and 240fps because of your hz or medium/high settings because of your resolution.

You will experience 75 fps then, not much of a difference but its something.I had a asus vh192 i believe is the name,18inch 1280x1024 75hz,cute little monitor, used it as a 2nd display for yt and discord after i bought a benq zowie 144hz 1920x1080 monitor. It died 2 weeks ago due to overheating i think :(

Nooo! lol. If I can budget it in, I would probably throw in the 144hz monitor as well.
