My current CPU is an AMD fx-6300, I'm thinking about changing to Intel but I'm not to sure what one to get. I'm looking to spend around £150-£200 for a new CPU, not sure if I would have to change my motherboard, at the moment I have a Asus M5A78L Le don't really want to spend a lot on the motherboard so anything cheap will do.

Why are you looking to change to intel ? the 6300 is still a decent CPU for most of todays games.

Have you overclocked your CPU? for £30 you can get an EVO 212 and overclock it for extra performance.

If you want to go intel then this should work :

You cannot overclock that CPU but it's a very strong performer.

you can go for the 4690k or the 4670k in your budget also which can be overclocked.

Heck you can even go skylake for £160 (non k version) or £200 for K version - but you need DDR 4 memory / expensive motherboard.

Hey thanks for the reply/links. I'm upgrading my Graphics card from a 650 to 960 and I'm too sure if my CPU will be okay with that card. I haven't overclocked my CPU but I'm not too keen on doing it I just want an upgrade, if my CPU is fine with the 960 that would be great if not I'll just get the one you linked.
