Loose power supply wire causing shutdown!

Hello, I've had a problem for awhile where the power supply cable seems pretty loose and when the wire is even slightly moved it would turn off the system.
Then about maybe 3 months ago? I got a new power supply with more watts and I had the same issue so I assumed that it's just how it works.
However today my computer wouldn't turn on, and so I checked the wire and moved it around and saw that the LED lights in my mouse and keyboard would flicker when it moved.
Letting the cable go caused them to turn off and moving it up and in caused the lights to stay on.
So I jammed a little tin canister thing in between my desk and the wire to keep it up.
The wire doesn't seem like it is plugged into the computer all the way, but I can't force it in anymore

Any help would be appreciated! :)

I'm not 100% sure what you mean, but the new power supply I bought came with a new cable, it still has the same problem.
