Losing my mind over this.

I recently bought sapphire 270x 4 gb worth 18k INR. I coupled it with Cooler master 500w PSU.It works fine but someone on this forums told me it is a very bad PSU.Now i m worried all day.I cant concentrate on anything.I m losing major sleep and i m not eating properly. I even think real bugs will get inside my pc when it is turned off and blow it(is this real concern)?.I even got belkin surge protector cause some1 told me this PSU can't handle voltage fluctuations. I have connected 2x80 mm fans,1 7200 rpm HDD and 1 DVD/RW to this PSU.I did play BF4 on ultra but no problems were found.Everything seems to be running normally but in my mind i m afraid PSU might blow up and take my brand new GPU with it.I come from middle class family so i cant buy new PSU now or for next 4-5 months. I m suffering from anxiety and i m easily startled by smallest of noise. Pls help.

Relax, that PSU is fine. With your components you are barely using half that PSU's total power. When PSU have problems are when they are forced to run all out all the time for long periods, that creates heat and makes them wear faster. Take a deep breath and enjoy your PC. A PSU will not blow up, if it goes out, your PC normally just goes black or doesnt turn on. Even if that happens, you can replace it and keep going.

So it will just stop working and wont take any other parts with it?I m even afraid to leave my room i have even started eating my room just pc is under constant watch. And should i be concerned about real bugs?

It's not a great power supply , but should last you a few moths till you can upgrade.

Will it have enough power connectors or will i need to use power adapters. But still are real bugs a concern for my hardware(I have mosquito repellent near my PC but that cannot stop very small bugs that come in monsoon

"A PSU will not blow up, if it goes out, your PC normally just goes black or doesnt turn on." Not entirely true. There are many reported instances where PSUs have damaged components in your computer. Would you get a Porche and put no name tires on it? Never scrimp on your PSU - it will be one less worry. Like SR-71 said, it will do until you can get something better.

So can i sleep at night without worrying constantly cause 4 months is pretty long time to go without good sleep and why is no one answering about my bug question?

Just remember your PSU will not explode. Relax and maybe give up your PC and go outside if it worries you that much.

I work as an electronic tech and when I started work one of the older fellows showed me a picture of some equipment that failed because some ants crawled in side and died. The bodies, as they decayed, emitted some sort of liquid that corroded some of the pcb. This took months to happen. If you are worried, periodically check for pests.

The thing they do not show when the supplies blew up - what kind of crap made it past the supply to the load.
