Hi,
I have ordered a Thinkpad AMD Gen1 with Ryzen 7 pro 4750U and 48GB (16GB soldered +32GB SoDIMM) of DDR4 3200MHz RAM.
I am still waiting for it to be delivered.
I have done a bit of reading in the meantime, and I can't help but feel like I've made a mistake, and I should've ordered 32GB (16GB soldered +32GB SoDIMM) instead.
For what I could gather, 32GB would still run in dual channel, and 16GB in single channel, but there would be either a loss of performance compared to a more balanced setup, or not a significant improvement for the extra 16GB.
Can someone more knowledgeable than me, share their findings on the subject?
I plan to use my computer, mainly for CAD design (AutoCAD, Revit, CATIA) an a little bit of programming: C, Python.
Thanks
