Question Lost analog sound on laptop after replacing the SDD ?

I opened up my MSI 15.6" Raider GE66 laptop to swap out the SSD. I thought I was careful but now sound does not work from the speakers or the headphone jack ?

But sound works from HDMI, and USB-C. Does it follow that I could have broken one part of the hardware and would get this particular outcome?

Open the back cover again and check the speaker connector on the motherboard, you might have touched it while upgrading the SSD.

You may need to download the audio driver from your laptop manufacturer's website since you replaced the SSD

Here's what that area looks like in 4 photos, below. I included some angled shots so you can see where the 1/8" jack is, assuming the problem spot is there? I'm lost as I don't see anything to tweak or fix. ty

The connector with two pairs of wires (red+black / white+black) is speaker connector, gently remove the connector then plug it in firmly again.

If it doesn't work, you should remove all the drivers + apps then install again with latest version from MSI website.

Is there any setting that allows you to decide where the audio should be redirected to?

For example on my computer I can toggle between Speaker, HDMI or SPDIF.
