Lost printer win98

have 'lost printer' from Firefox and thunderbird. still recognised by other progs. Uninstalled and reinstalled firefox to no avail.
Any ideas please

Anserwing my own question as have sorted this now
In Firefox in address bar type about:config enter, scroll down to the line print_print_printer ringht click and reset

In Thunderbird gfo to Tools/Options/Advanced click on config editor scroll down as above

Yup it works

I note that changing default printer with a number of printers set up can cause hese progs to be
