So putting up the tree and I realise I didnt store the bit that plugs into the wall with the lights🤦‍♀️ Can anyone please tell me what to search to find the piece that plugs into the socket. I can find all manner of cords but none with the circular female port I need, all the ones I can find are built-in and have male ports. Thanks in advance

Input is AC 220-240v 50/60Hz (Im in NZ)
Output is AC 31V

You're going to have to post a picture of the connector that will connect to the end you're looking for. I'm guessing you're referring to the power brick/adapter or are you talking about another connector that is the intermediary between the lights and the power brick?

I'd say that the "thingy" where this connector plugs info is not just a "transformer" or "adapter", but a controller which is specially made for these lights.

In your first post you've mentioned "Output: 31VAC", where did you got this from?

And finally - can you contact the original seller / manufacturer for help? May be you even keep the original box these lights came into ;)
