Lots of lag issues? Please help!

I had this laptop for probably a couple years and every day I seem to get more frustrated in it with its gaming performance. It used to run Skyrim halfway decent and then it started to give this horrible intermittent lag (or maybe it was always there and it eventually drove me nuts). Then it was Minecraft. I used to play single player and I would overlook lag spikes but recently it seems worse. More games that never run smoothly are Dead Island Riptide, L4D2, and a couple other ones. I'm really sad because it was $600 and every where I turn I cannot find a solution. I tried soooo many different things. Since I have AMD graphics and processor, I tried RadeonPro, Raptr (or something like that), various tweaks in the CCC, and AMD OverDrive. I am going insane. I want to just pay someone to get a unsolder my CPU and replace it with something else. I'm pretty sure its my CPU because world loading for Minecraft and other games is very slow. Please help! Here are some of my laptops's specs:

-Dell Inspiron 5535
-12GB RAM
-AMD A8-5545M APU with Radeon HD Graphics
-1.7ghz clock speed overclocked to 2.4ghz (I have a really good cooling pad that keeps all temperatures really cool)
-64-bit OS
-x64-based processor

Solution
That is a tiring task and usually it will cost more.
Laptop parts, especially CPU are rare and can be usually find in 2nd hand or junk laptop parts.

How about switching to desktop. I will not recommend fixing your laptop unless you have too much resources to get your parts.

Thanks for taking time to read this. Do you know if there are unsoldering services for CPUs so I can replace it with a better one? This computer never seemed to do well with games.... I could never really figure out if it was my GPU or CPU but maybe its a combination of both...

Also, in case I find a service to unsolder my CPU from my laptop, anyone know any good sites to find a list of CPUs hopefully under $150?
