Question Loud high-pitched ringing noise from front AUX port only?

I just finished building a new PC and I'm experiencing a strange audio issue. From the moment I turn on the system (before boot, as soon as I press the power button) the front AUX port outputs a high-pitched ringing noise. It isn't affected by Windows volume settings and expected audio is audible but very quietly. I've tried the following:

- Reconnecting HD audio cable
- Updating motherboard BIOS
- Testing headphones and cable separately (both work)
- Turning it off and on again

I'm using an NZXT N7 B650E motherboard and an H9 Flow case, with a 7800x3d. I'm happy to provide more specs if relevant.

Hi aska,

I'll be sharing my experience with you and won't probably be your final required answer, but anyway... here you go!
Noises in the audio channel can indeed come from cables, but also lack of insulation filters between, I would say, power supply and analog channel, assuming that noise cannot degrade digital data. I would take a better look at insulation capacitor, but unfortunately I cannot advise how to indeed solve the problem.
These capacitors can get damage by improper ground when handling hardware.

Hope it helps.
