Loud humming from pc on start up

as the title say my pc makes a loud humming noise when i start up my pc it stops when i get into windows.

Hello... Open your case and identify the part making the noise... roll up a pieces of paper to pin point the noise to your ear.

Could be a wire that too close to a fan that spins at full RPM on boot, or your HDD/ Optical drive. All are worth inspecting further.

A humming noise that only occurs on start up is usually just your system/component fans spinning up high and then settling down once Windows takes over.

This is common with hardware such as CPU coolers.

Its nothing to worry about and pretty normal. If it really bothers you, try and pin point which fan is making the noise and replace it with one designed to be silent.
