low access time help

hi, i have hdd from laptop in pc it have low acces time - 40 ms. If i change hdd will i see better performance in games? And if someone know how can i fix it or is it possible ? i use sata 2, win 8.1, ahci mode. ps hdd 5500 rpm

Hey pospo. That's a bit odd, I'd suggest that you download the manufacturer's diagnostic tool and test the drive with it to see if everything's OK. Unfortunately I don't think there's much you can do about the access time of the drive. As for gaming performance, you should look at the random read speed in particular and it won't be bad to get a 7200RPM drive (this will shorten the load time between loading screens and starting up a game etc.)
