Low Budget PC in need of a GPU..

So, I am making a low budget PC. I plan to use it for gaming, and I don't plan to overclock. I will most likely end up going with an i5 CPU. I want to be able to play online games with no problem. I am talking about MMOs, League of Legends, Dota 2, World of Tanks etc. I am also satisfied with 1440x900, and high settings on online games, and same, but some settings on medium on single player games. I don't play FPS besides counter strike, so I don't think it's important if I can run battlefield 3 or no, lol. What I would like to do tho, is streaming League of Legends. That's pretty important for me.

Also it's important to say that the prices in the local stores are fixed. I can't order anything from the internet. No paypal, and most companies don't ship to my country as well.

What I was looking for, was this.

AMD HD7770 OC, or GTX 650 Ti. Is the extra cash worth it? In the local stores, the GTX 650 Ti is worth 170 EUR/220$. The HD7770 costs 120EUR/160$. My budget is limited, and I am NOT going to be able to to add more than that for a GPU. The question here is, is the Ti worth the extra money, or I am better off with a better CPU instead. Should I shift the extra 50$ for a better CPU for example?

Also, feel free to recommend me a good PSU/Motherboard for that setup.

Those two cards are equally good for your money. The 650Ti costs more but its faster. It's really up to you if you want to spend the extra money. If your looking for a yes/no answer, then yes, I would spend the extra money. No need for a CPU better than an I5.

Thanks for the advice. I was looking the exact same PSU in my local store (the more expensive one), and the price is so so so different. In newegg it's 70$, in the local store is 120$... that's the only reason I may go for the cheaper one.

I have no idea for a mobo, and I already explained my problem with choosing a graphic card. In a thread in the CPU part, I was suggested to buy the cheaper i5, because as I mentioned, I don't intend to overclock anything. According to best buy for the month article on this website, the biggest difference between the processors is the fact that the more expensive one is pretty good for OCing.

If I can end up with the i5-3470, I will be able to afford the 50$ difference for the PSU, so the graphic card budget will be a bit bigger. If I have to go for the i5-3570K, either PSU or graphic card budget will suffer a bit.

The full budget for the PC is 450-550 Euros (600$-740$). That's only for the case and the parts inside, minus hard disk. I already have a 1TB HDD, and I don't feel the need to buy more, or a new one.

If you don't plan on overclocking, go with the 3470 to save money. What kind of RAM are you considering? Don't cheap out on the PSU, spend a good amount of money on it. As far as the GPU, I'd look at benchmarks on here and see if the price is really worth the extra performance to you.

I would too just go for the 3470, that handle pretty much any card you'll throw in your machine. $600 is enough to make a real decent PC, espically if your saving $100 on a hard drive already.

From what I could gather, that store has a very limited selection of power supplies. Seasonic is a trusted PSU manifacturer so you'd have no problems with that particular unit. I'd recommend either picking up the Seasonic 620w for the price listed or looking for a quality power supply somewhere else. The rest on the store you linked are pretty bad.

The selection of cheap motherboards is also quite limited. You'll want to go with Z77 that can utilize your 3rd gen processor, such as this:

I decided to go for the Radeon. In a country where we get paid 300$ for working for 1 month, paying 60 extra $ for 10 FPS is just not worth it for me. I don't really mind playing on High instead of Ultra High anyway.

Only thing I would change is get a 2x4Gb kit of RAM instead of a single 8Gb so you could benefit from Dual Channel, but doesn't look like that store is selling anything besides single DIMMs. Just a small detail anyway.

Looks like a solid build overall. Guessing you already have a HDD, Optical drive & OS, if so then that should destroy all the games you listed at 1440x900 resolution. Now what you need is a proper retailer lol.

Hmm in a thread specific for CPUs in gaming, I got a suggestion to lower the CPU in order to get a better GPU for gaming.. if I do manage to get the money, is it worth to go for i3 and HD 7870? Will that give me better performance?

Hard to say honestly. I've no experience of the Core i3 line at all. Looking at some benchmarks I'm getting the idea that i3 3220 is pretty much on par with with AMD's FX 4300, which is still a fairly decent gaming CPU. And also have to take your resolution into account.

I'd say it's a viable option as well and yes it could give you a boost. Once you've got it assembled post some benchmarks in this thread just so I can see.

Well, I've been told that the newer games will just require more threads in future, so i5 is a better buy, so I guess I won't try the i3, and won't be able to post benchmarks.
