Low cinebench score i7-8700k

Problem: My cpu temperature goes beyond 95% while rendering. the score is just 1030cb , even lower than the official i7 3930k

My current cpu: i7 8700k
gpu: no separate gpu, just the gpu inside the cpu
ram: 2133hz crucial technology 8GB


Please help! Thank you so much!!!! I am so helpless now.

If your temps are exceeding 95 celsius, then you are thermal throttling and that will cause low scores. You're going to need to fix your overheating problem. What cooler do you have, and are you sure it's mounted properly?

If those are indeed your temps, you have a thermal issue which would be causing low scores. Although OC'd, I get ~1650cb in Cinebench test using my 8700k. RAM frequency plays a role as well in the score if I remember, but not causing anything like what you are experiencing.

Thank you for answering, my water cooler is Kraken X62 280mm water cooler. But I overclock my cpu to 4.7MHz always. My cpu temperature is around 55 degree in normal working environment. When I do the cinebench testing, the temperature is really high which make me think that my water cooler is not very efficient. My ram is just a 2133Mhz 8GB ram. A very cheap ram. Haha.

At idle you should be at 30 to 35 degrees C. Also is that just 1 stick of RAM or 2 x 4GB Sticks? 1 stick of 8gb RAM is not going to help your score...
