I recently upgraded my GPU from GTX 770 to 1080Ti due to a monitor upgrade from 1080P to 4K.

when running CSGO my CPU and GPU usage are low, CPU is mostly around 40-60% with spikes to 80% and the GPU is around 50%.
when i switch to 1080P the GPU is using 20-30%.

also FPS difference between 1080P and 4K is very small, in inferno T spawn im getting ~130 FPS in 4K and ~160 in 1080P.

with my 770 i got over 200FPS with 100% GPU usage in 1080P.

other games like GTA V and BF4 are using 100% of the GPU.

dont you think its weird that i get more FPS with my older card?

there are benefits for running the game at higher FPS than 60 even if the monitor is only 60HZ and its very disappointing that i cant enjoy them.

it is a bit strange but i think it is mostly down to optimisation for new cards the devs havent had enough time to get the best performance for the cards yet so maybe give it till early spring next year and then see if they have gone up if not then maybe try a slight overclock if you really want extra frames.

i did, changed nothing.
on some maps i get more GPU usage, like up to 80% which keeps the FPS above 200 and leads to smoother gameplay.
yes, i can tell (feel) the difference between 120FPS and 200FPS on a 60HZ monitor, but thats only in CSGO, other games are less sensitive for me, but still benefits from higher FPS than 60.
its kinda fine on those maps but its still very upsetting that the game isnt using all of the card performance.
CSGO isnt an indy or small game, i would expect it to utilize a 1080TI to its full potential.

It's not weird at all. 4k is four times the pixels as 1080p, which means your
GPU has to render four times as much as it used to for everything

i get less FPS on Inferno in 1080P with 1080TI than with 770, how is that making any sense to you?
the resolution isnt the issue here, the game just isnt using 100% of the GPU.

130FPS in 4K and 160FPS in 1080P? the difference should be much bigger than that.

My bad. I read it wrong... I thought you said that you get 60fps on 4k not 160 lmao
