So, recently I installed my brand new gigabyte 7950 into my custom built PC. I started up battlefield 3, (it's a great game and a good way to stress test my cpu/gpu) and I got average/low fps. What's odd is that even after I formatted my hard drive, Re installed the latest drivers, and overclocked, my CPU usage never goes above 65% and my GPU usage never goes above 70%. I've tried overclocking both to no avail. I know for a fact that it's not a cpu bottleneck, because it's usage is always low.
Any ideas?

PS🙁Please Intel fanboys, restrain yourselves. This CPU is great, it's just not using itself very well.)

Specs here:
PSU: Rosewill GREEN 630w
GPU: Gigabyte 7950 windforce edition
CPU: FX-6200
HDD: 1TB WD 7200

Yeah, as it turns out vsync was limiting my GPU usage, there's no bottlenecking.

haha this made me laugh. its not intel fan boyism to acknowledge that intel make superior processors. your processor is good you are correct but it is not as good as you like to think.

false, bf3 will use more then 4 cores if you give it more then 4 cores. i routinely use 5 cores at 70% minimum.

that 70% for GPU usage means gpu is useing 70% from clocks not the power of gpu. Can be 100% gpu clock and 40% memory clock and that means 70% from maximul clocks. w/e a gpu is more complicated than clocks , u shoulden't watch usage, ur gpu is working as hard is posible. same for CPU , u can see 20% CPu usage, but it runs on maximum transfer rate.

Sorry, forgot to mention, I'm metering both the core usage and the mem usage. But I think the reason why my framerate is low is because my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu on full servers (bf3 is very cpu intensive in multiplayer). I think the best choice is to upgrade to an 8350, thanks for y'alls help. :)

u got a 6 cores cpu, there is no way for bottleneck!

this is just plain untrue. it CAN be the bottleneck. people are just ignorant to the amount of CPU the frostbite 2 engine can and will take up. it will basically take up to 6 cores(note i use the word cores not thread which applies to both hyperthreading and AMD modules) and will continue to gain fps on intel i7's at clock rates up to 4.5 ghz.

people please get the ignorant thought of bf3 is not cpu bound out of your stubborn minds.
