hello fellas, as the title says "low CPU usage on demanding game" in which already questioned in this forum several times, but i wanted to ask it myself (because we had different system)
my PC specs
CPU : Ryzen 5 2600
GPU : RX 5700 XT Red Dragon
RAM : G.Skill TridentZ DDR4 3600Mhz 16GB (2x8)
Storage : - Adata SX8200 pro 1TB
- Toshiba 2Tb (scrapping from my old PC)
Motherboard : Gigabyte B450i Aorus Pro Wifi
PSU : FSP Dagger pro 650W
CPU Cooler : ID Cooling IS 50
Case : Silverstone SG13
so i built this PC march 2022, i never playing games on this PC, mainly only for storing files, watching 4k movies and personal server. since this january, i begin obsessed with several simulation game, such as ETS2, ATS, TSW, and Beamng Drive (there's plenty more but i usually play this game. i bought 2 version of TSW, first one and TSW3. i never had any problem playing TSW on ultra setting, on several occasion there's a FPS drop but it's rarely happened. after moving to newer game, TSW3, i begin to notice this PC shutter a lot. i tried to find solution on several forum and following the advice such as clean install driver (using AMD cleanup utility and auto detect), it didn't work. and turn out after installing new driver, the games crash 2 times (unreal engine reporter shows ups).
i tried to enable metric overlay when playing games, my CPU only manage to utilize 20-30% and GPU around 45-60% with FPS usually around 45-55. i used to messed up with BIOS because i can't enable XMP profile but it get fixed (i think). i used to download Ryzen master, messed up there, but there's one times when my PC's behave funny so i revert back and uninstall ryzen master. i used to update chipset (in order to fix FPS issue for other games) it not works either. and this PC's is not built by me so i don't know how they done this PC. it comes with installed windows 10 pro
on other people PC's i've seen on youtube, they using RX 5700 XT and ryzen 5 3600, their FPS rocketed around 90 on ultra setting without single drop even when they recording the screen, and that also happened to other games.
