Low cpu usage

I have q6600 2.4ghz when playing games it rarely passes 60% of load
at middle earth : shadow of mordor 50% Far cry 3 60%
maybe because of gpu? GT 730 Ddr3 2gb

If you use Process Explorer to look at how games use the CPU, you will likely find 1-2 threads using 25% of the CPU (nearly a whole core each) and a bunch of other threads making up the rest.

There are next to no games capable of using 100% of a quad-core CPU in a meaningful way.

But why i get same fps when lowering res?

Generally, resolution has no effect on CPU usage, all it does is change the amount of work the GPU needs to do. If the frame rates stay mostly the same when you change resolutions or graphics details, it simply means your performance is primarily bottlenecked by your CPU and more specifically, how quickly your CPU can run that single critical thread most games have that gets pegged at 100% usage of a single core.

I dont know .. since i update drivers for gpu much frame drop happend :/
