hello everyone I got a pc with a 2080ti, i7 8700k, 32gb 3200mhz and a custom loop but when i play rainbow 6 siege on low settings I will only get like 170 fps and that is low for a 2080ti because I got some friends with lower end graphic cards and play on higher settings and they will get like 250 fps, does anyone know how I can get more fps? I already got my windows power settings on ultimate btw.

Solution
1)Virus scan the system? Adwcleaner is a good free tool - can find things that usually get past AVs: https://www.malwarebytes.com/adwcleaner/

2)Run Windows System File Checker: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

3)Strix Z370 Gaming motherboard drivers:
VGA
Audio
Lan
Chipset: 2019/04/03 Intel Chipset Driver, and 2019/04/04 Management Engine Interface
Sata
Bios: 2019/03/12, Use the included Management Engine Update tool via Asus Setup to update your ME... then 2019/07/18.

4)If you were using a gpu prior to the 2080Ti, was Display Driver Uninstaller used to remove the previous driver, after which you installed the newest recommended driver from Nvidia's site?

2)Run Windows System File Checker: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4026529/windows-10-using-system-file-checker

3)Updated the motherboard's drivers?

4)Display Driver Uninstaller was used to remove the previous driver, after which you installed the newest recommended driver from Nvidia's site? [Don't install Geforce Experience, as it auto 'optimizes' in game settings, which aren't always ideal for you.]

5)If you are running your browser alongside the game, Hardware Acceleration is disabled?

6)Which '750w Corsair psu'? There are several: https://pcpartpicker.com/products/power-supply/#m=11&A=750000000000

7)2080Ti at 1080p low? You're just throwing most of the work onto the cpu at that point. You're creating an artificial cpu limitation.
That gpu is already a horrible investment at that resolution, that people have to run ultra settings and turn on DSR x2 or x4 just to keep it from idling due to waiting on the cpu all the time.

8)Cpu usage, EACH CORE/THREAD. Whole cpu usage is not the correct way to do it, as all it takes is one thread to hinder performance.

5)Hardware Acceleration: I use Firefox, so finding it is as simple as going to the browser options, and scrolling down until I find it.

6)"i cant go higher than 1080p cuz i have a 1080p 240hz monitor"
Nvidia Control Panel > Manage 3D Settings. DSR is greyed out?

7)To check per core usage, you can use:
HWINFO
Intel Extreme Tuning Utility
Msi Afterburner

8)"and my psu is a rm750x corsair white psu"
Ok, you're good there, at least.
