Low Fps Computer

My graphics card is a gtx 750 ti, my processor is way out of date being an amd 9950 phenom quad core. and my motherboard is an msi 7374. My question is whats the highest cpu compatible with the motherboard so I can raise my fps.

While a Phenom II X4/X6 will likely run with the motherboard -- it appears supported on MSI's compatibility list -- that's really your maximum and I would only bother if you can find one cheaply. The improvements are significant, but don't expect miracles. And make sure your BIOS is up-to-date first.
