hey guys, help me out if anyone knows about it. I play Valorant on my laptop that has a 120hz display, and in-game I only get 80-90 fps minimum, while gaming when I check my task manager the CPU load is around 65-68% whereas my GPU is only at 12-15% load, I have a 16GB of ram 2666mhz. here are the specs below. help me out if anyone now the fix, all in-game settings are low
Processor - Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-9750H CPU @ 2.60GHz, 2592 MHz, 6 Core(s), 12 Logical Processor(s)
GPU- Nvidia 1650
RAM- 16GB

Welcome to the forums, newcomer!

Make, model and SKU of your laptop? Can you check and see if your laptop is pending a BIOS update? Following that see if your OS is pending an update. Following that, use DDU to remove all GPU drivers(Intel, AMD and Nvidia) in Safe Mode, then manually reinstall the latest GPU driver sourced from Nvidia's support site in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer>Run as Administrator.

I have done all these things I have just reset the full laptop installed all the new drivers updated the bios and everything else. But still, I always get the same result and fps from the last 5 years on my laptop, as my friend has a 1650ti which gives him 150+ fps and for me it's only 80-90 fps.

Is it a single 16 GB stick of RAM or 2 X 8 GB sticks?

Because if it’s a single stick of RAM, that can leave a significant amount of performance on the table.

That RAM speed seems a little slow as well. I’m not sure how RAM speed works on laptops (I don’t know if the motherboard can take advantage of faster RAM or not) But DDR4 RAM speed in the 3600 MHz+ range is ideal for gaming.

In general, keep in mind that your overall CPU utilization seems relatively high, which tells me that you might struggle to hit a stable 120 fps with Valorant.

If your graphical settings are currently on low, try experimenting by changing them to high. If your fps doesn’t drop or only drops by a small amount (and your GPU utilization goes up) then you are most likely CPU/RAM limited.

Yes i have a single stick of ram of 16gb, but how to fix it then?
