Low FPS Gtx 660

Hello, I just bought a new gtx 660 to improve my FPS ingame. I managed to go from 40 fps on medium to 90 on high/ultra. Then my brother also decided to buy the 660, he had same graphic problem as I had. Thing is at same place in world of warcraft, he get about 40-45 fps where I get steady 90+. Can you guys help me out to find the fps probelm, I thought our computors were quite alike. Only diffrence is that he is playing on dvi, im playing HDMI, we're both useing 1920*1080.

My Specs:
Predator G3610
Intel(R) Core i5-2320 CPU @ 3.00GHz
Ram 8 gb
w7 64 bit.
Gigabyte Gtx 660
psu: 500w
Motherboard: Intel sandybridge/h67 (at least what CPU-z said)

My brothers comp spec:
Predator G3100
amd athlon(tm) II x4 645 3.10 ghz.
Ram 8 gb
w7 64 bit.
Gigabyte Gtx 660
psu: 500w
Motherboard: Amd 880g sb850

Dude, Your CPU is better than his.

WoW is a CPU Bound game.

Yeah but we tried some other games, warz and he still getting quite bad. But is his cpu really that bad? and in that case, you got any recommandations for upgrade? which fit in the comp etc which doesnt cost to much. thanks for the quick answear.

Upgrading in that Socket isn't gonna give a Reasonable Boost.

So, next time when he'll upgrade then tell him to get Intel.

Im not very into computers, but what you mean, is that he has to change his motherboard to actually be able to get a new decent cpu?

I'd agree that's a clear case for intel. Might overclock the amd to see if that helps.

If he gets intel cpu yes that what he means.

I meant that if he gets a Better CPU that fits the Mobo. He'll hardly get a Boost that is worth the Cost of the CPU.
So, play in that CPU until you think of i5.
