I recently got a new PC with the following specs:
i7-6700k clocked at 4.9ghz
EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 CLASSIFIED GAMING ACX 3.0 clocked at stock
Samsung 950 nvme drive
Kingstone 32gb 3200mhz ram
Corsair RM750i
The screen I'm using is Acer Predator XB270h, it's 1080p 144hz gsync screen (planning on upgrading that now)
When I run certain games, for example Tera, I seem to be getting somewhat horrid FPS. Being in open world with almost nobody around I can't get past 80fps while the GPU is sitting at ~20% usage and as for CPU Aida64 reports this load
When I'm in a town with low tens of people around I'm sitting at 30-40 fps. Loads on GPU/CPU are identitcal.
Is there an issue with some system setting or the 30-40 fps is simply limit for 6700k@4.9ghz and/or other part of the system?
