low fps on decent pc

Problem: Getting low fps on games.

My buddy has a computer that's lower specs and he gets 120 lol

did you recently add your gpu? have you ran a driver cleaner before installing your gpu drivers?

Everything was put together at once, besides the cooler

just to make sure, your gpu has pcie power plugged in as well as your monitors being plugged into your gpu not the motherboard, and you have the latest drivers right.

Everything is hooked up right, and clean the 970 motherboard doesn't have on board graphics

only thing i can think of is to uninstall the drivers you currently have for your gpu, and try to install slightly older drivers and see what happens
