For the life of me I can’t figure out what to do. Running a i5 10040F with 32gbs of ram and a RTX 2060. I’m getting horribly FPS. I used to get 85-100 but the last month it’s been 20-30 making it unplayable.

Things I’ve tried so far

reverted video drivers 3-4 updates back
put all settings to low/medium/high
turned off all overlays

what’s next?

also when I play 2042 my system in my task is taking up 80% on disk every time I load and play. A month ago it didn’t do that. It always seems like it’s loading something.

Did you use DDU to uninstall all GPU driver remnants and then manually reinstalled the latest Nvidia drivers in an elevated command, i.e, Right click installer><Run as Administrator?

Make and model of your PSU and it's age? Make and model of your motherboard and it's BIOS version? If you're on Windows 10, what version(not edtion) are you working with?

PSU - https://www.newegg.com/phanteks-amp...009?itemPosition=1-16&exactIndex=1&isPLP=true

The PSU is two weeks old
motherboard is https://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/H470M-HVS/index.asp

And it’s the current last updated bio version.

Windows 10 the current version 22H2 I believe. It updated to that six days ago.
I haven’t tried the driver thing above but I will when I get home today. At the auto dealership now getting the 30,000 mile package thing done haha
