Low FPS while playing games

Hello,

So I have my computer now for -+ 2 years, and since a couple of days I get these FPS drops while I am gaming. The drop happens most of the time during a hectic situation (e.g. teamfights), also when I set everything on low settings.

My specs:
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310 CPU @ 2.90GHz
Video card: AMD Radeon HD 6570
Memory: 4.1GB
Operating System Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium Edition Service Pack 1 (build 7601), 64-bit
Display max resolution 1920 x 1080
Drive size 1.8TB
free 1.3TB

Any experienced person that has any theories/sollutions for my problem?

CPU is fine but 6570 just not a gaming card. At 1080p it dosnt stand a chance even in older games. Get a 4GB ram and new GPU (tell us your budget) and you'll be able to play again at higher fps.

Giving us more info would of provided you an answer promptly

I'm guessing your laptop falls short of the requirements for the game you are playing

I am playing League of Legends like 90% of the time and sometimes Call of Duty Black Ops, I am playing on a
pc and not on a laptop.
The budget I have is around 200$ but can be 250$-300$ if it makes a lot of difference

Well it does makes a difference. You can get 290 4GB for around 250$ + 4GB ram 40-50$. You should be maxing out most of the games. Like i said, CPU will be capable handing it.

You can do it yourself. You can also tell us what PSU do you have before you make a move. 290 tend to be power hungry card.

No clue what is means but I think you do
And is a 280 also fine? Since I am not playing games like Far Cry or something like that.

No, PSU is far to weak for 270/280. You would be best to get something like gtx750/ti.

Good to know before I bought the 280
So I'll buy the 'MSI GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB GAMING' GPU, remove the files of my old GPU, remove my old GPU and put the 750 back in there?
My pc also makes a bit of noise while it is on, does replacing the GPU remove tha tor has that to do with something else?

You can use DDU to remove all ATI files before you install nVidia card : http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=379505

Noise is probably your stock CPU fan. With time you should replace it too, something like TX3 (25$) should keep it cool and quiet.

Not sure if anybody still reads this, but is there a possibility I can replace the GPU with a single GPU for three monitors with the current specs I have on my PC?
