[SOLVED] Low fps with gtx 1070 and i5 8400!

So when i play fortnite on low settings with gtx 1070 and i5 8400 i get a fps of 100 average. That is trash! I hear people play with gtx 1060 andi5 6600k and they never drop below 144 fps. Something must be wrong. Its prebuilt though. I took an benchmark test and it said that almost every component is performing below expectations! Help me!

A 6600k oced just a better chip for fortnite than your cpu, and a 1060 is more than enough to push 200 fps at 1080. Max your settings as it won't lower for much if any

when i set on epic i get around 60fps and that unplayablewith 144hz monitor. The i5 8400 is trash . Maybe the cpu is the problem

Okay that gives us a much more useful result.

Whatever is going on is with your gpu.

First thing I'd try is download a program called ddu, reboot windows into safe mode, run ddu and wipe all your Nvidia drivers. Then go back and reinstall them and see if that helps

I just see that your 1070 is doing very poorly and everything else was doing very good. So I'm starting with likely fixes for the 1070

so you are pretty sure that it is something with the graphic drivers?

That doesn’t really show an issue with your gpu, could just be you are running stock when most others are overclocked as standard.

What is your cpu usage in game, are any cpu cores hitting 100%?

card has only 1x8pin pcie connector and its using blower cooler
either that card is overheating or it doesnt have enough juice to clock higher
thats all there is to it (userbenchmark score), score is fine
