Low FPS with GTX 1070 and i7-4790K

Hello everyone. I've been dealing with this stuff for months where I've had low FPS and I'm not exactly a tech guy. Games that should be able to run pretty smoothly run quite awfully on this computer and I have no idea why.

I've recently formatted my drives and reinstalled all of Windows. Could there be any solutions to my problem?

First we need to know the problem. What CPU cooler are you using? Use HWInfo to find out your max temp while gaming. You can also use MSI Afterburner's On-Screen Display to monitor in-game CPU/GPU temps and usage. Do this and let us know what you find out.

I only have the case fans used for my computer. One on the top and one on the back. There's also the fan that's with the CPU but I don't think that counts.

And on a game such as Citadel: Forged With Fire, a new early access title, I was reach max 60% usage for my GPU, 30-50% usage on CPU and most of the CPU temps were reaching 80-90 degrees Celsius! This was with the game on ultra. But changing the settings doesn't make a difference.

Ah! Never mind. The game was just really really unstable in single player. Runs fine in multiplayer!
