I recently installed a new graphics card, the GTX 760 for my PC. However, in comparison to my msi GTX 650, I have been getting massive amounts of lag. For example, in CS:GO, I had about 200 fps with the 650 but with the 760, I've only been having 40-50 fps at the most. I've attempted to reinstall the drivers twice, with no avail.

System Specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 2500k @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 760
RAM: 16.0 GB
OS: Windows 10 Home

Yeah. Its like that GTX 650 gets you more fps instead of GTX 760. But GTX 760 you more quality. And if you OC it a little it can make huge performance increase. BTW i dont see diffrents between 200 and 60 FPS

There's actually a huge difference, once you see it. 60 fps is a lot choppier compared to 200 fps, at least in Counter-strike. I'll try overclocking it, are there any good tutorials online?

I can guide you. 1. DONT TOUCH VOLTAGE unless you have a PCI-e connector i recommend MAX 10mv. 2.Try run benchmark like valley, heaven or whatever when you OC. Then just add 10-20mhz every test. Look at the TEMPS dont let it go over 75C and look if you get errors or something dosent show correct. And add MAX 500 CORE AND MAX 550 FOR MEMORY. (I mean dont do it in the begining!!!) (P.S im 13 and PRO HAHAHA)

But it hasn't been the case however. Is there something wrong with my hardware, or is there something I can do to fix it without overclocking?

did you uninstall the video drivers completely before putting in the new gpu?

make and model of your power supply?
