Question Low FPS?

Was trying to play Ghost Recon wildlands today and was stunned to see my fps was around 40-30 with ultra mode on. I have an RTX 2080 TI and 16gb ram with cpu is Ryzen 9 3900x. What gives?

Temps are kinda hot. CPU is around 39c and the gpu is around 51c.
And this is the only game with poor fps.

Those are perfectly safe. Since it's only happening with this game I would verify the files with Uplay and try the game again.

Okay and I went back and verified the files and when I run it again, still getting low fps. Like 41fps now. I was certain my machine would be beefy enough to run this title. Should I do a SLI with two 2080ti cards?

No don't do SLI, games don't always scale well and the driver support for it is poor nowadays.

Check your CPU/GPU temps and usage while in the game.

Okay CPU was around 43c and gpu was 62c. I think that's normal, yes?

Make sure vsync is disabled; if you are using a gsync monitor try with it disabled as well. What refresh rate is your monitor? Also if anything is overclocked; put it back to stock.

The Vsync was already off.
My refresh rate is 120hz. Nothing is overclocked. Its standard default.

Any other suggestions? I always thought since I paid a grand for this Rtx2080ti that I would get decent fps.
